Big Girl Bed

addie's grandparents bought her a big girl bed for her birthday. she loves it and looks as cute as can be when she's in it. the best part is that now we can have some pre-bed snuggles and book reading in her bed. every morning she asks to sleep in it again. she's been such a good girl and hasn't gotten up once to play or try and escape a nap.

The Leg Jammers

ella woke up three nights in a row screaming. the first night i went in to try and console her to no avail. i finally decided to investigate i thought she may need to be changed or her arm was twisted so as i felt around this is what i discovered...

we refer to these jammies as the leg jammers! she's so funny!

the amazing thing is she did this same little trick 3 nights in a row wearing different jammies each night!

When Momma's Away...

i have had a migraine for the past 3 days so austin has taken some of the daily tasks upon himself and he even took pictures! here are the results...

ella was screaming so he put her "happy tummy" on her head and gave her some toys...

and he gave her some reading material...

he also let addie eat her breakfast yogurt outside and all by herself!

Child Labor Laws?

today adeline did her laundry all by herself. she put her clothes from the hamper into the laundry basket then from the basket to the washer, added soap and fabric softener, then started the washer. once the washer was done she put the clothes from the washer to the dryer and added a dryer sheet. she did all of this with a baby in one arm and her laundry in the other. what a great little momma and a wonderful helper.  when we were done she said, "again".

Two Years Old

our sweet girl turned two today. we cannot even begin to express how thankful we are to the Lord for giving us these two years with our addie. she brings such joy to our hearts, sweet kisses to our home, funny humor to our days and love to our family. she is so kind and tenderhearted and we have enjoyed seeing the little person she is becoming. she was such a pleasant little birthday girl today. she loved spending time with her favorite california friends, wearing the "bootaful" dress her grandma gave her for her birthday, playing with her cousins, but the highlight was definitely cooking up a storm in her new kitchen! we love our sweet baby adeline and praise God for another year to have been blessed with her. she actually blew out one of her candles tooshe's such a good little pretender giggles with cammyeating some of her new plastic food, muffins (muckins) her favorite even baby ella had fun at the party

Ducks are SO Scary

adeline and i agree ducks, geese, and birds are not fun and cute (or cuke as adeline would say) they are noisy, dirty and very scary. today we went to balboa park to feed the ducks and it was very fun. i didn't get any pictures of adeline feeding the ducks because she and austin fed them so quickly and she got freaked out once they all began to swarm. she liked them and kept saying "again" but was a litte afraid and spent much of the time telling austin "up please". she also kept saying "water fowl", so funny. ella played with her frog in the stroller and was a very good girl. over all it was a very sweaty yet fun time. and hopefully none of us caught the west nile virus!

Silly Girl

grammy and addie had the funnest and silliest time when they visited. there was rarely a moment when they were both awake that giggles and singing couldn't be heard. addie had a wonderful time!

Snuggle Bugs

ella could not get enough of her papa when they came to visit. if she was awake she wanted to be with him, and when she was with him she couldn't smile big enough or snuggle close enough.

ella is always wondering where the party is and why she's missing it... and when she finds it, boy is she happy!
