Oh Weird!

this is adeline's favorite new phrase. oddly enough she always uses it appropriately too. one morning last week we went in the backyard to discover these little mushrooms in one of our plants, to which she exclaimed, "oh weird". 

another weird sight in the back yard is little addie in her new underwear reading a book on the step. 

oh weird indeed...

Listick

thanks to aunt charity's love for chapstick adeline received her very own dr. pepper flavored lipsmackers on her very first christmas. i thought it was time to bring it out. adeline loves it. she calls it listick and she puts it on for hours. and this is the end result. beautiful!

Beach Day

when i took adeline to the water she was clinging to my shirt but by the time we left she was letting the waves splash her and giggling about the bubbles the waves make on the sand.

ella loved the wagon. she laughed and laughed and kicked the umbrella. also, look at her belly in this picture, this is classic gator belly that both girls have. we love it.

this is the dirtiest that adeline has ever gotten at the beach. she keeps telling me that she build a sandcastle at the beach. thanks to austin's help she was much more courageous this time than she's ever been at the beach. and of course when we left she said, "again"!

asher's baseball game

last night we watched asher's baseball game. he was a superstar and played great!

addie had a great time cheering for asher and playing with hanna and eating cheetos

A Line From Little Women?

yesterday adeline's new quilt came in the mail for her new toddler bed. she was so excited. last night after she went to bed i washed her quilt and sham. when saw it this morning she squealed with glee. once ella woke up she was eager to show it to her so i hear her say, "lala you like it? mom-mom make it". i had to leave the room because i was laughing so hard. it was so cute to see her share it with her sister, then to hear her say that i made it, oh she's so funny. where does she get this stuff? 

Big Zoo Date

these were the girl's sweet faces while we were waiting to buy our tickets to the zoo. they were very excited!

the "jacks" (as adeline calls them) were addie's favorite animals. she told us how "cuke" the baby giraffe was. she is so funny!

Snuggle Party

Big Girl Bed

addie's grandparents bought her a big girl bed for her birthday. she loves it and looks as cute as can be when she's in it. the best part is that now we can have some pre-bed snuggles and book reading in her bed. every morning she asks to sleep in it again. she's been such a good girl and hasn't gotten up once to play or try and escape a nap.

The Leg Jammers

ella woke up three nights in a row screaming. the first night i went in to try and console her to no avail. i finally decided to investigate i thought she may need to be changed or her arm was twisted so as i felt around this is what i discovered...

we refer to these jammies as the leg jammers! she's so funny!

the amazing thing is she did this same little trick 3 nights in a row wearing different jammies each night!

When Momma's Away...

i have had a migraine for the past 3 days so austin has taken some of the daily tasks upon himself and he even took pictures! here are the results...

ella was screaming so he put her "happy tummy" on her head and gave her some toys...

and he gave her some reading material...

he also let addie eat her breakfast yogurt outside and all by herself!

Child Labor Laws?

today adeline did her laundry all by herself. she put her clothes from the hamper into the laundry basket then from the basket to the washer, added soap and fabric softener, then started the washer. once the washer was done she put the clothes from the washer to the dryer and added a dryer sheet. she did all of this with a baby in one arm and her laundry in the other. what a great little momma and a wonderful helper.  when we were done she said, "again".
